Sound Design and Mix & Mastering

The Natural Instincts project required a hybrid between smart sound effects library usage and smooth sound recording. A huge environmental research made the sound realistic. All the sound events were mixed and implemented in Wwise which was integrated with Unity Engine.

Wwise Audio System

This Wwise audio system is designed to dynamically enhance the intensity of sound based on the amount of fire visible on the screen. It achieves this through a Real-Time Parameter Control (RTPC), which modulates blended audio tracks to create a more immersive and responsive soundscape.

Multiple layers of audio are combined, allowing seamless transitions between different intensity levels. The system utilizes an RTPC parameter linked to the fire amount, adjusting the mix in real-time. As the fire increases, additional layers or effects are introduced to amplify the sound’s power. Smooth audio transitions prevent abrupt changes in sound levels, maintaining a natural and engaging experience.

This system ensures that the game’s audio dynamically responds to in-game events, enhancing realism and immersion. Let me know if any refinements are needed
